I The Sidelines

Cheer was never just cheer.

Late nights at the school. Painting run-through signs. Friday night lights. Loving my school with my whole heart.

Cheerleading was so much more than standing on the sidelines at games. It was late nights at the school, painting run-through signs, cheering until I lost my voice, and loving my school with my whole heart. It was Friday night lights, bus rides, pep rallies, laughs with my teammates, and memories I'll carry forever.

No matter where life takes me, a part of me will always be that girl on the sidelines cheering as loud as she could for the place she called home.

A part of me will always be that girl on the sidelines, cheering for the place she called home.

II Under The Lights

Softball has been my whole life.

Softball has been my life for as long as I can remember. Out of everything I've been a part of in high school, I've spent more time on that field than anywhere else. Countless practices, long tournament weekends, playoff runs, summer workouts, bus rides, and nights under the lights. Those fields hold some of the best memories of my life.

But it gave me so much more than wins and memories. It taught me toughness, discipline, leadership, and how to keep showing up even when things are hard. It gave me confidence and shaped me into the person I am today.

It gave me confidence. It shaped me into the woman I am today.

Track made me stronger in every way possible. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to compete — not only against other people, but against myself. It showed me that growth happens when you're uncomfortable, and that the hardest things are often the most rewarding.

Track will always hold a special place in my heart because it helped shape the competitor and person I've become. No matter where life takes me, I know the grit this sport gave me will stay with me forever.

IV What Comes Next

A new beginning.

High school has given me memories, friendships, lessons, and experiences that I'll carry with me forever. As nervous as I am to leave behind the place that has been home for the last four years, I'm also excited for everything ahead.

I plan to attend Lone Star College to pursue a career in dental hygiene. While sports have been such a huge part of my life and helped shape who I am, I'm excited to begin this next chapter and work toward a career where I can help others every day.

Thank you for being part of my journey and celebrating this exciting time in my life. As I prepare for college and this next chapter, your continued love and support is something I will cherish forever.

Once an Indian, always an Indian.
